OUR CRAFTSMEN

A sampling of the expert craftsmen who produce the fine quality products you see on these pages:

John Martin is from Pennsylvania and has been crafting Windsor chairs and settees for over 25 years. John makes numerous styles and are available in choices of woods and finishes.

David LeFort, from Massachusetts, specializes in high style Chippendale and Queen Anne furniture with a New England influence. David makes desks, secretaries, highboys, lowboys, chests, tea tables, and beds in a choice of cherry, curly maple, or mahogany.

The Workshops of David T. Smith, from Ohio, offer a wide range of products. They produce country, Shaker, and formal furniture as well as Windsor chairs, lighting, smalls and kitchens. David's Turtle Creek Potters make slip trail, quilling, and sgraffito decorated redware, delft, and lamps.

J. L. Treharn & Company are located in  Youngstown, Ohio.  They have replicated the construction techniques of 18th century cabinet makers in exact detail.  Each case is dovetailed and historically correct hardware is used.  Each piece is offered in cherry or tiger maple and is completed with a deep, rich finish.

BENNER'S CUSTOM WOODWORKING is located in Lebanon, Ohio.  Benner specializes in furniture, cabinetry, and kitchen design and construction.  Their fine quality cabinets and furniture are crafted with the same methods used 200 years ago.  All furniture is built entirely of hardwood using traditional methods such as dovetail and mortise and tenon joinery.  The painted and distressed finishes are wonderful.

In addition to our craftsmen, we also employ a number of different workshops which also produce many of the products you will find on these pages.

  • Shaker View Furniture, from Maine, offer a variety of Shaker chairs and stools. The seats are woven fabric and the backs are available woven or in a ladderback style. They offer a choice of colors and finishes as well as color choices for the weave.
  • Country Cat Loom Rugs, from Wisconsin, offer 100% wool rugs in a host of colors and patterns. These are available in any size you wish.
  • Frye's Measure Mill has been making Shaker and colonial boxes in New Hampshire for over 100 years. The boxes come in many sizes, shapes, colors and finishes.
